The Mind-Numbingly Stupid Arguments of the Left Re: Obamacare‏

As a precursor, earlier this week, Jeffrey Lord succinctly explained the mindset of the Left when arguing social policy (or anything else for that matter) in an article appearing in The American Spectator re: the recent spate between radio personality Rush Limbaugh and Sandra Fluke...

""..remember: this is the way the Left -- the global left throughout history, not simply the American Left today -- has always behaved. A fanatical intolerance is part of the leftist DNA.

The late Austrian free-market economist Ludwig von Mises described the leftist method of operation as "fanatical and intolerant." It works, he said, this way: 'Socialism… works on the emotions…to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.'

Primitive instincts...

The skillful, clever use of fear (not to mention hate) is the defining trait of leftists throughout history. Fear is the primitive emotion the left feeds on like a junkie needs drugs. It is a trait repeatedly manifested in history by the use of intimidation or bully-boy tactics to assert raw power. It is the vividly identifiable scarlet thread of intolerance that has shown itself in one leftist movement after another on down through the centuries, regardless of nationality...

In America, the leftists beneath the hoods of the Ku Klux Klan lynched terrified blacks at night while running America's Democratic Party by day. No less than future president Ronald Reagan was threatened with having acid tossed in his face if he didn't cease fighting the infiltration of Communists in Hollywood. Today SEIU thugs are captured on video beating up those who dissent on Obamacare, calling their victim the "n--word".

Fear. Intimidation. Bullying. Racism. Hatred of the "other." Without these tactics, the left is naked in the war of ideas."

So it came as no great suprise that later this week, the Left is shocked, shocked I tell you, that their empty, emotion based arguments aren't passing muster at the Supreme Court when Leftist are trying to argue the legality of Obamacare...

"The panicked reception in the mainstream media of the three-day Supreme Court health-care marathon is a delightful reminder of the nearly impenetrable parochialism of American liberals.

They’re so convinced of their own correctness — and so determined to believe conservatives are either a) corrupt, b) stupid or c) deluded — that they find themselves repeatedly astonished to discover conservatives are in fact capable of a) advancing and defending their own powerful arguments, b) effectively countering weak liberal arguments and c) exposing the soft underbelly of liberal self-satisfaction as they do so...

Jeffrey Toobin of the New Yorker and CNN confidently asserted on Charlie Rose at the beginning of the week that the court would rule 7-2, maybe even 8-1 in favor of ObamaCare. The previous week, he called the anti-ObamaCare arguments “really weak.”

His view was echoed by an equally confident op-ed assertion by the veteran court reporter Linda Greenhouse, who in The New York Times declared the case against ObamaCare “analytically so weak that it dissolves on close inspection.”

It was quite a change, then, to see Toobin emerge almost hysterical from the Supreme Court chamber after two hours of argument on Tuesday and declare the proceedings “a train wreck for the Obama administration.”

Yesterday, after another two hours of argument, he suggested it might even be a “plane wreck.”

That was the general consensus across the board. It held that the two lawyers arguing against ObamaCare — Paul Clement and Michael Carvin — were dazzlingly effective, while the administration’s solicitor general, Donald Verrilli, put in a mediocre performance."

Color ME suprised! You mean to tell me that the idiotic argument advanced ad mauseum that B-b-b-but you just wnat people to get sick and DIE! simply didn't work? For an encore, now I imagine you'll try to tell me that these are not the droids that I'm looking for. When Justice Scalia advanced the broccoli argument and yet the Left had no clear response to it whatsoever.

I think I will be celebrating the complete crash and burn of Obmacare in June with a Pennsylvania lager. How about you?

Tactics of Gay Left Becoming Increasingly Creepy‏

It seems that the newest tactic adopted by radical, gay activist organization GLAAD is taken straight from the Saul Alinsky handbook as beautifully laid out by Mike Adams...

"The Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD) Commentator Accountability Project came out to the media earlier this month. As you know, this project aims to put “critical information” about “anti-gay interviewees” into the hands of “newsrooms, editors, hosts and reporters” who “don’t often have the time to dig into the histories of a commentator.” In other words, it is a branch of the Gaystapo using Nazi tactics to ban those who disagree with them from appearing in the media. I call it pink-listing. This is not to be confused with pink-lisping, which refers to the tendency of homosexuals to develop speech impediments as soon as they come out of the closet.

The GLAAD project seeks to pink-list those “comparing LGBT people to Nazi Germany, predicting that equal treatment of LGBT people will lead to the total collapse of society, and even making accusations of satanic influence.”"

Don't have time between denigrating Western values and advancing leftist policies to do research on someone you're interviewing? Not to worry, we've done all the work for you! We'll tell you how to think and reinforce any stereotypes you might have about people who aren't like-minded. Sheesh! This is getting downright totalitarian-like creepy.

The Miracle in North Africa Continues‏

A few years ago I heard a brief report on Christian radio that significant numbers of Muslims on the continent of Africa are converting to Christianity, but not through evangelistic efforts, but through experiencing dreams and visions that cause them to change religions. The radio report mentioned the phenomenon of Muslims simply showing up at Christian churches explaining that they had experienced a dream or vison and how they now wished to follow Jesus Christ, asking for a Bible and for instructions as to how to effectively follow Jesus of Nazereth.

A recent article in Christianity Today highlights the efforts of former church-planter Jerry Trousdale in the region and he reports the following occurances...

  • Multiple cases of entire mosques coming to faith

  • Thousands of ordinary men and women being used by God to achieve seemingly impossible outcomes

  • Tens of thousands of Muslim background Christians becoming dedicated intercessors who fast and pray for the gospel to penetrate the next community

  • Muslim people groups that never had even one church among them now have more than fifty church planted, and in some cases more than one hundred churches – within two years of engagement

  • Former sheikhs, imams and militant Islamists making up 20 percent or more of the new Christian leaders in Muslim regions

I tend to believe these reports from Trousdale being that about a year or so ago, I had the privilege of attending a Bible study that for one Sunday, was taken over by a guest speaker of an organization looking to spur economic development in the region of North Africa along with sharing the Christian faith.

I asked the man speaking that morning if, given his experience in that part of the world, he had ever heard of such conversions via dreams and visions and he responded 'yes'. He then went on to relate the account of a convert who had told him that while in Jordan, he had a dream instructing him to go to a specific part of a town nearby and enter the local bookstore and ask the proprietor for a book that was not on display. The next day the man did so and when he spoke to the man in the bookstore, the man then produced a Bible in Arabic for him and the man added that he himself had had a dream that the man was coming to see him.

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions" Joel 2:28 AKJV

On Bastardy in America and the Stark Differences Between Romney and Santorum

Kudos to presidential hopeful Rick Santorum picking up another huge win, this time in the Lousiana primary. Although behind front-runner Mitt Romney in the overall delegate count, it seems that Santorum won't be pulling out of the race any time soon, if at all.

Columnist Michael Barone has put out a great article contrasting the differences between the two candidates while at the same time examining the effects of bastardy on this country...

"Among the top 20 percent in income and education, (author Charles) Murray finds that rates of marriage and church attendance, after falling in the 1970s, have plateaued at a high level since. And these people have been working longer hours than ever. He labels this group Belmont, after the upscale Boston suburb.

In contrast, among the bottom 30 percent of whites, those indicators started falling in the 1970s and have been plunging ever since, to historical lows by 2008, even before the current economic doldrums. He labels this group Fishtown, after the Philadelphia neighborhood that has been the home of low-income whites since it was first settled in the early 19th century.

In Fishtown, he reports, one-third of men age 30 to 49 are not making a living, one-fifth of women are single mothers raising children. Nearly 40 percent have no involvement in a secular or religious organization.

The result is that the children being raised in such settings have the odds heavily stacked against them. Santorum made this point vividly, and Mitt Romney agreed.

These findings turn some conventional wisdom on its head. They tend to contradict the liberals who blame rising income disparity on free-market economics. In fact, it’s largely driven by personal behavior and choices.

They also undermine the conservatives who say that a liberation-minded upper class has been undermining traditional values to which more downscale Americans are striving to adhere. Murray’s complaint against upscale liberals isn’t that they’re libertines but that they fail to preach what they practice.

What light does this shed on the GOP race? For starters, Romney is literally from Belmont, where he raised his family and now has a condo, and where he helped build a large Mormon temple. He grew up in another Belmont: Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Santorum, in contrast, describes himself as the grandson of an immigrant coal miner, a product of Fishtown. He often tells of getting his political start by winning two House races in Pittsburgh’s steel-mill suburbs."

The whole article is an interesting read and sheds some light on the differing viewpoints of the two leading presidential hopefuls to replace Barack Obama as well as the decline of what once made up the core of American society.

What they're not telling you about the Trayvon Martin murder..‏

That accused killer of (apparently) unarmed Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman (above) is a wacky, probable cop-sniffer wannabe is my first impression of this nutjob. However, one thing that the MSM is completely glossing over is that Mr Zimmerman isn't exactly very W.A.S.P.Y...

"Because Zimmerman, as you can see below, is Hispanic—not white.

Moreover, in a letter published by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel, Zimmerman’s father describes his son as “a Spanish speaking minority with many black family members…” who grew up in a multiracial family. [George Zimmerman's father: My son is not racist, did not confront Trayvon Martin, By Rene Stutzman, March 15, 2012]

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D.-MO), chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, believes that this is a federal “hate crime” and that it should be investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice. There have been marches, petitions and demonstrations against Zimmerman’s supposed “racism”—and that of the Sanford police. Rev. Al Sharpton is making his presence known as well.

Apparently, no one has seen a photo of George Zimmerman or heard that he is Hispanic. Would they be crying, “hate crime” so loudly if they knew Zimmerman is Hispanic?

Law enforcement should, of course, investigate further, if for no other reason than the facts certainly seem to show that Zimmerman used excessive force."

I wonder if it must be quite unsettling for such a complete and verifiable anti-semite like Al Sharpton to know that any time he enters a room full of people, he's probably BY FAR the biggest racist in the room. Bar none. But for a man whose lowliness is second only to Jesse Jackson, I doubt we'll see anything short of adulation by the left of these con-men of the 1st Degree who wouldn't truly want racial harmony to exist in a million years. If that ever did occur, they'd both be out of a job.

Why Leftist Policies are so Detrimental to Blacks‏

Economist Thomas Sowell (above) again hits the nail squarely on the head by laying out in vivid detail how the party that gives lip service to compassion and caring to the lowest members of the societal scale actually winds up destroying black lives with their inept and misguided policies...

"One of the things that turned up, during a long-overdue cleanup of my office was an old yellowed copy of the New York Times dated July 24, 1992. One of the front-page headlines said: “White-Black Disparity in Income Narrowed in 80′s, Census Shows.”

The 1980s? Wasn’t that the years of the Reagan administration, the “decade of greed,” the era of “neglect” of the poor and minorities, if not “covert racism”?

More recently, during the administration of America’s first black president, a 2011 report from the Pew Research Center has the headline, “Wealth Gaps Rise to Record Highs Between Whites, Blacks and Hispanics.”

While the median net worth of whites was 10 times the median net worth of blacks in 1988, the last year of the Reagan administration, the ratio was 19-to-1 in 2009, the first year of the Obama administration. With Hispanics, the ratio was 8-to-1 in 1988 and 15-to-1 in 2009.

Race is just one of the areas in which the rhetoric and the reality often go in opposite directions. Political rhetoric is intended to do one thing – win votes. Whether the policies that accompany that rhetoric make people better off or worse off is far less of a concern to politicians, if any concern at all."

None of this comes as any suprise as even blacks are beginning to abandon Chairman Zero in droves as they are beginning to realize that Obama simply uses them as useful pawns like he does anyone else that he decides is politically expedient at the moment.

Back in the USA!

Blogging has been slow lately as I was out of the country visiting our neighbor to the south, Venezuela. It was my 7th trip there and I can now report the following.

Person after person that I talked to told me that the security situation on the ground is getting progressively worse. Thi in spite of the fact that I probably saw more police and National Guard troops around than I ever did.

As weird as American politics can get these days, at least nobody is taking pot-shots (with guns, not words) at those trying to unseat Obama. Opposition candidate and Chavez challenger Henrique Capriles Radonski cannot say the same.

If anyone wants to get a second, medical opinion, I would suggest El Centro Policlinico Valencia 'La Vina'. They do everything from brain surgery to podiatry and all the specialties in between. And they actually listen to you also rather than simply plugging you into a machine and reading the results hich is all too common in the States.

It's great to be back and after vanquishing the worst case of diarrea of my entire life, it's back to blogging again. Hurray!

What they're not telling you about the DC, lesbian communion scandal

It seems that the above, fine-hunk-o'-woman, Barbara Johnson, had a bit of a disagreement with a Catholic priest while attending the church service for the passing of a loved one...

"A lesbian attending her mother’s funeral was denied Communion by the priest because she was 'living in sin'.

Barbara Johnson, who attended the funeral with her partner of 20 years, stood first in the line to receive the bread and wine at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on Saturday.

But Father Marcel Guarnizo reportedly covered the bowl and said: ‘I cannot give you Communion because you live with a woman, and in the eyes of the Church, that is a sin.’

Johnson was stunned by the priest's actions and thought he might change his mind. 'I just stood there, in shock. I was grieving, crying,' the 51-year-old told the Washington Post.

'My mother’s body was behind me, and all I wanted to do was provide for her, and the final thing was to make a beautiful funeral, and here I was letting her down because there was a scene.'"

There you have it folks, all cut and dried for your consumption. Mean, rigid, theistic old priest unbendingly refuses to assist a grieving soul during her time of need. For SHAME Fr. Guarnizo!

But then, as is almost always inevitable, the other side of the story manages to come to light. Kudos for An Archdiocese of Washington DC Catholic for providing us with the following...

"..just wanted to let you know that there is a lot more to this story than has been published। I was in a meeting with Fr Marcel and heard the whole story। The woman in question brought her lesbian partner into the vesting sacristy just before the funeral Mass and made sure to introduce her partner to Fr Marcel, introducing her as her ‘lover’. He told her then that she should not present herself for Communion. I have been to many Masses said by Father Marcel and he is a good and holy priest. He speaks very softly when giving out Holy Communion, almost whispering “Corpus Christi” — and did not publicly denounce her but rather said in a whisper that he could not give her Holy Communion. He did feel sick at the end of Mass and made sure to have a replacement priest accompany the body and family to the cemetery.

Father Marcel has a very active role in the very public and weekly vigils at Carhart’s late term abortion clinic in Germantown. He has been a staunch and vociferous defender of life. It is my belief that this is a calculated attempt to discredit him. (Remember – same sex marriage will be signed into law this week in Maryland.) ‘Catholics for Equality’ and other gay groups are feeling pretty strong right now. Fr Marcel is their enemy because he speaks the truth and does not back down…"

Who wants to bet that the account given above will be very well-covered by the MSM and broadcast for all to see? The fact of the matter is that although Catholics and many Protestants may disagree on numerous theological points, there seems to be an organized effort to silence Christianity into submission to a New World Order where the meanining of 'tolerance' is perverted and only extends to those who the Mainstream Media decides are deserving.
